MOBA EUROTUBI finalises acquisition of SANTON SRL company

The agreement with Carlo Santon, the company's owner and director, involves the transfer of 100% of the company's shares to Moba Eurotubi Srl. With this acquisition, Moba Eurotubi will integrate and complete its production coverage, extending it evenly across the entire national territory and strengthening its presence in paper mills and plastics sector. Moba Eurotubi was assisted in the transaction by Avvalor Corporate Solution, financial advisor specialised in M&A, and by Forvis Mazars, for the legal aspects.
Following its integration into the industrial group of Moba Eurotubi, Santon Srl, founded in 1962, will contribute its expertise in producing of specific cardboard cores. The company will also benefit from the advantages of belonging to a well-established industrial group, as well as the synergies resulting from the ongoing integration process and access to the skills developed by Moba Eurotubi over its 65-year history. This is all part of an industrial project aimed at growth and competitiveness.
In pursuing these business goals, Moba Eurotubi recognises the strategic importance of maintaining the company's identity and territoriality, that will be supported by outgoing shareholder Carlo Santon. He will continue to contribute to the company to ensure a smooth transition in management, aligning it with Moba Eurotubi's existing standards and policies. These include sustainability, energy and environmental efficiency projects, as well as the adoption of management and organisational models based on regulatory compliance, business continuity and digitalisation of processes.
The company's registered office has been transferred to Como, where the registered offices of all group companies are located. The production plant remains in Vicenza, Villaga Street G. Marconi 5.
The operation follows - just a few years later - the one realised at the beginning of 2020 with the acquisition of Tubicom Srl, a historical company from Lucca specialised in the production of cardboard cores for the Tissue sector, belonging to one of the most important and internationally renowned industrial districts, which has recently moved to a new plant in Pistoia (Tuscany).
The management of Moba Eurotubi expresses its deepest satisfaction at the conclusion of the operation. It thanks all its stakeholders, starting with its workers and collaborators for the contribution made over the years, crowning a path of growth that is destined to continue. In fact, this operation is an intermediate step in a broader and more articulated development project, pursued with the utmost determination to achieve the set goals while respecting its own identity, the ideals and values handed down by its founder, Rino Molteni. Pillars that still guide their actions and personal relationships today, in the certainty that they will also be embraced in the new project related to the development of Santon Srl.
MOBA EUROTUBI GROUP
Moba Eurotubi Group, founded in 1961, is a company specialising in the production of cardboard tubes and cores using regenerated cardboard. In one year, the company uses about 65,000 tonnes of recycled paper, which is processed in its plants in Montorfano (Como), Sessano del Molise (Isernia) and Ponte Buggianese (Pistoia), where Tubicom Srl is located. The total area covered by the production sites is more than 30,000 square metres.
The product range is divided into standard reinforced and high-strength tubes, including spiral tubes, convolute tubes, rectangular and square tubes, edge protectors and cardboard pallets.
To complete the offer, there are special tubes, including: cardboard tubes with special prints and/or covering papres, high thickness tubes, with double-side adhesive, pre-cut cores and tubes with longitudinal cut.
